In recent years, Chongqing has taken measures to strengthen its campus safety work, and has organized many multi-batch public safety education teachers for free training and university safety education staff training for rotations. Recently, the Municipal Education Commission issued a notice requiring all primary and secondary schools in the city to open a safety education course of no less than 2 hours per month. At the same time, various primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the city are installing GPS positioning systems for school buses, and it is expected that the coverage rate will reach 100% by the end of the year.

According to statistics, in the past five years, the number of student-related safety accidents and student casualties in the city has been on a downward trend year by year, and no major or higher safety accidents have occurred for six consecutive years. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Education Commission stated that the campus safety work of major schools, primary schools, and kindergartens should work hard to prevent drowning safety education, fire safety education drills, and traffic safety education. During school hours for primary and middle school students, the leaders and teachers of the school on duty must go to the school gate in advance to guide the students to travel by car and find that the illegal operation of the vehicle is in violation of the law. They must immediately report to the relevant department.

“The safety management of school buses is the most important thing.” According to the person in charge, there are 747 school buses and 628 service schools in the city, and the number of student trains reaches 117,702. At present, all primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in the city are installing GPS positioning systems for school buses, and the coverage rate at the end of the year will reach 100%.
